Ontario Bank was an early bank operating in Ontario, Canada. It began operations in 1857 and was last listed as a member of the Canadian Bankers Association in 1901.
The bank was founded in Bowmanville, Ontario by John Simpson, a local resident and a former bank manager for the town’s Bank of Montreal branch. Simpson later became one of Canada’s first senators.

HOW TO LOGIN
Step 1 – Go to www.myvernoncountybank.com – When you reach this home page, on the upper right side of the page, click the “Login – Online Banking” box. You will then be taken to an “Online Banking Login” page. Enter your User ID. Click “Submit”
Step 2 – Once you’ve submitted your User ID, you will be taken to the next step of your login process. This page will provide an added layer of security to assist in protecting your personal information. Answer the security question and click “Submit”
Step 3 – After answering and submitting the answer to your security question, you will be taken to the final login page. You will verify your chosen identity image and enter your password. You will then click the appropriate bubble as to whether the computer is trustworthy or public. Click “Submit”
Step 4 – When you’ve completed all of the steps and successfully submitted all of the information, you will be taken to your Online Banking page where you will be able to review and prepare any online banking transactions necessary.
HOW TO ENROLL
Step 1 – If you’re prepared to enroll in online banking services you must either call customer service at 1-(608) 337-4406 or you may walk into one of the branches for assistance in setting up your internet banking account. Currently, there is no self enrollment available.
Step 2 – Once you’ve spoken with a representative who has assisted in setting up your online account, you will be able to login to your account with your User ID and Password. You will then be able to conduct your banking business any time of the day or night.
